Connecting Sendcloud, step by step

Create the account, copy the two keys, paste the webhook address: ten minutes, and your labels print in one click.

Sendcloud connects your shop to carriers. Once connected, Fixara creates the label in one click, offers pick-up points to your customers and tracks every parcel. The Sendcloud account is in your name: you pay for the labels, with them.

1

1. Create your Sendcloud account

On sendcloud.com, create an account with your shipping address. In Settings > Carriers, enable at least one carrier. With no active carrier, Fixara has no service to offer you.

2

2. Create the “Sendcloud API” integration

In Sendcloud: Settings > Integrations, find Sendcloud API, click Connect, give it a name (for example “Fixara”), then Save. Sendcloud then shows two keys: the public key and the secret key.

3

3. Paste both keys into Fixara

Expédition (Shipping) tab of Orders and items, Your carriers, via Sendcloud block: paste the public key and the secret key, then Connect. Fixara tries them before keeping them: if they are wrong, it says so right away. Then choose the home delivery service, the pick-up point service and, if you like, the return service.

4

4. The “Webhook url”: paste the address Fixara gives you

This is the box that blocks people most often. A webhook is simply the address at which Sendcloud tells Fixara when a parcel changes status (shipped, delivered). Fixara gives it to you, ready to copy, in the Expédition tab, just below your keys (Copy button).

In Sendcloud: Settings > Integrations, your Sendcloud API integration > Configure. Tick Webhook feedback enabled, paste the address in Webhook url, then Save. The Test API webhook button in Sendcloud lets you check that the address answers.

Without the webhook, everything still works

The webhook only makes things faster. Without it, Fixara checks the tracking of your parcels every hour: your customer is told about the delivery a little later, nothing is lost.

Each thing in its place

The webhook address goes into Sendcloud. Sendcloud’s two keys go into Fixara. Never the other way round. Fixara checks every Sendcloud message with your secret key: a message that does not come from your account is refused.

You’re done when you see this

  • A carrier is enabled in Sendcloud.
  • The Sendcloud block of the Shipping tab shows “Connected”.
  • A home delivery service (and, if you offer it, a pick-up point service) is chosen.
  • The webhook address is pasted in Sendcloud, with “Webhook feedback enabled” ticked.
